Not only are the number of applications and software packages available greater, they are much quicker and better at making new versions of software available for upgrading.

If you have used Fantastico to install software in your hosting account previously, Softaculous can import any of the scripts it maintains even if it was not installed by Softaculous. The process is very simple and fast. Softaculous can also Import Data of the installed scripts from other Auto Installers like Fantastico. The user can also choose which scripts to Import and is able to maintain these scripts for future updates.

This ensures you can upgrade your software sooner and keep your site safe. We always recommend updating software to the latest stable versions, unless there is an absolute requirement not to. A customer’s hosting account is their responsibility, including the software installed within it, so it makes sense to update on a regular basis.
