In addition to the General Terms, the following terms and conditions apply to the Domain Name registration services provided by Web3k.
- Domain Name Registration
- Web3k is a reseller of various registrars who are accredited with various authorities and registries to supply domain names.
- The registration of the domain name and its ongoing use are subject to the relevant naming authorities, registries and registrar’s terms and conditions.
- We do not warrant, claim or guarantee that the domain name You apply for is capable of being registered by You.
- You waive any claims against Web3k in the event an authority, registrar or registry makes the decision to refuse to register a domain name.
- Domain names are not registered until the registry administrator puts them into effect.
- Domain names that are newly registered, the term begins on the date the registry administrator, not the date the Order was placed with Web3k. This is date known as the “Registration Date”.
- Domain names can be registered for limited terms, which end on the expiration date unless renewed for subsequent terms (see Domain Name Renewal).
- You agree that Web3k are not responsible or liable in any way for any errors, omissions or other actions by the registry administrator arising out of a domain name registration.
- Web3k accept no responsibility in respect to the use of the domain name by You and any dispute between You and another individual or company. Web3k will not take part in any disputes between You and other parties.
- Fees and Charges related to registering a domain, either in whole or part, are non-refundable.
- Domain Name Renewal
- Web3k will notify You in advance that Your domain name is due for renewal.
- We will notify You sixty (60), thirty (30), fifteen (15), seven (7) and one (1) days before Your domain name is due for renewal. This notification will be sent to You at Your nominated Customer Account email address. It is Your responsibility to ensure Your Customer Account details are maintained and up to date.
- Where You have a valid credit card on file with Web3k, We will automatically process Your domain name renewal for a successive term.
- If You do not have a credit card on file with Web3k, it is Your responsibility to process payment or the invoice pertinent to the domain name.
- When a domain name is renewed, it will be renewed for a successive term.
- Fees and Charges related to renewing a domain, either in whole or part, are non-refundable.
- Domain Name Transfers
- You may transfer your domain name to or from Web3k.
- Web3k do not impose fees when transferring a domain from Us to another reseller or registrar.
- Some TLDs and ccTLDs, including but not limited to, .com, .net, .org, .biz, .mobi, .info, .co, .me and .us incur charges for domains transferred to Web3k. These charges are equal to on terms renewal fee and subsequently your domain will be renewed for an additional term.
- Australian domain names, including but not limited to, .com.au, .net.au, .org.au, .id.au and .asn.au does not incur a charge when transferring to Web3k, unless it is within ninety (90) days of its renewal date, in which case a charge equal to the renewal fee for a subsequent term will be charged to You.
- You may be required to supply additional details during the transfer process, including but not limited to, a domain password/EPP code/auth code/auth key /UDAI tag or another code that allows you to transfer your domain name to Web3k.
- You may be required to advise your current domain name provider You intend to transfer your domain to Web3k, specifically but not limited to, United Kingdom domain names (.uk) and have them change your domain name IPS tag. Please contact Web3k to request our IPS tag.
- If in doubt of any rules and regulations for domain name transfers, you should consult the registry managing the domain extension in question.
- Web3k may refuse a domain transfer request to Web3k at its sole discretion.
- Domain Name Change of Record
- To submit a Change of Record (“COR”) application, the domain name must currently registered with Web3k.
- Where a Change of Record (“COR”) application is submitted and approved, the registration date, expiry date and term remain the same as per the previous registrant.
- The current registrant details for the domain name requesting a COR must be valid and correct. A confirmation request will be sent to the registrant contact email address.
- It is Your responsibility to provide the correct personal or company information in Your COR applications.
- You must supply the domain names domain password/EPP code/auth code/auth key in Your COR applications.
- An administration fee is applicable for COR applications.
- Domain Name WHOIS Privacy
- All domain name WHOIS privacy applications are processed through a third party, Domain Privacy Services Pty Ltd (“DPS”). You acknowledge that Web3k may be required to supply DPS with personal information for the purpose of applying and using the domain name WHOIS privacy service.
- You accept that by applying for and using the domain name WHOIS privacy service through Web3k, you understand and agree to all the terms and conditions of Domain Privacy Services Pty Ltd and the domain name WHOIS privacy service they provide.
